Who would’ve thought that cranberry and ginger can actually go hand in hand … definitely not me. I’m not the biggest fan of ginger, so the idea of putting ginger (candied or not) into baked products has never crossed my mind till I saw it in Ignite the flame, bonding the generations. The combination looksrather festive – the red from the cranberry and the use of candied ginger, so I thought I’ll give it a try, and if its good, I’ll make it as a giveaway for christmas.
I was surprised the flavors worked very well together. and I ate quite a few while I was packing them into airtight containers. This is going into my christmas bake list for sure.
